Narrative Project Preface This page will have insight on my Narrative Project, composed of so many different emotions and how I feel about writing and what I write about. This page will tie emotion to action and action to a lifestyle. When reading these blogs I hope you can see the growth of a boy that grabbed the bull by the horns and tamed it on the road to becoming a better man.
Whenever I have written narratives for school in the past , I have felt like I wanted to write a good paper and place events that take place and keep the story where in naturally flows and i'm not missing detail or i'm not having gaps in the explanation creating something that grabs the attention of the reader. Writing in this manner makes me feel as though I want to put out good work.
To begin my process of writing the memoir, I first composed a Letter to my Author- Self when I completed this blog assignment I felt like I reconnected and gave strength to something that I closed off so long ago , this letter put the passion of my inner-most feelings about writing on paper.
While on my writing quest I found valuable insight through my research and readings based on Writing Process Roundtable, where I was able to learn the process of writing and how messy it is and where you can go if you let it flow.
As I moved more into the meat of my blogs Composing an Emotional Scene With Dialogue and Symbolism and Telling Myself a Different Story: Memoir Counterfactual I began to let my emotions flow realizing that the writing process led up to me breaking some barriers and getting back intact with my emotional side which is therapeutic for me. My emotional identity is me being pretty much reserved and not showing much emotion. Writing in my blogs has shown me that I can let emotions flow and feel, manifesting feelings and letting them turn into growth patterns.
